HOW ROLLING RESERVATIONS WORK
What are rolling reservations?
You can always have a set number of future boating days reserved at once. Complete a trip and a new reservation slot opens immediately. There are no monthly caps and no “use it or lose it” pressure.
You simply maintain a set number of upcoming reservations at any given time. Once you complete a trip, that reservation slot opens up so you can immediately book your next boating day.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS & POLICIES
Membership Eligibility: Open to individuals 25 years of age or older with a valid government-issued photo ID. Members born on or after September 1, 1993 must present a valid Texas Boater Education Certificate before their first trip. Winter Texan memberships are available to non-local residents only (primary residence outside Nueces County, verified by government-issued ID at enrollment). Explorer, Islander, and Captain’s Circle tiers are open to all.
Commitment Period: Annual plans require a 12-month commitment from the date of enrollment. Winter Texan plans require a 3-month minimum (consecutive months within the October–March window). At the end of each commitment period, membership automatically renews for a new 12-month term at the then-current monthly rate. No additional initiation fee applies upon renewal. Members who wish to cancel must provide 30 days’ written notice before the start of the next commitment period.
Local Resident Discount: Available to residents of Port Aransas, TX. Proof of residency (Texas DL or utility bill with Port A address) required at enrollment and annually thereafter.
Billing: Initiation fee charged at enrollment. Monthly dues auto-billed on the 1st of each month. All rates are subject to applicable sales tax.
Cancellation: Members may cancel by providing 30 days’ written notice before the start of the next commitment period. Cancellation during an active commitment period is subject to an early cancellation fee equal to 50% of remaining dues in that period.
Booking Window: Club members may reserve available inventory between 4 and 30 days before the desired date. Public and tourist reservations are accepted at any time. Unclaimed club-eligible slots become available to the public within the 4-day window before each date.
Trip Cancellation: Members may cancel a reservation up to 72 hours before the scheduled departure with no penalty. Cancellations inside 72 hours count as a used trip; the rolling reservation slot reopens after the originally scheduled departure time.
No-Show Policy: Members who fail to appear for a scheduled trip without canceling will be charged a $150 no-show fee to the card on file. The associated rolling reservation slot will be frozen for 7 days from the date of the no-show.Peak & Holiday Surcharge: Captain's Circle members are charged a per-trip surcharge of $99 during Peak season (June–August) and $149 on Holiday Premium dates. Rolling reservations for Captain's Circle are reduced from 3 to 2 during these periods.
Blackout Dates: Vary by tier. Holiday Premium dates include Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend, and Christmas/New Year’s week. A full Holiday Calendar is published annually. Summer blackouts apply June 1–August 31 for applicable tiers (Islander: weekday access only; Explorer: fully blacked out).
Damage Coverage: Club members sign the standard damage waiver each trip and pay the waiver fee at cost with no markup (half-day: $42 / full-day: $61 — Captain’s Circle only). If damage occurs during a trip, the member is responsible for the deductible up to $1,000 per incident. All damage above the deductible is covered. A credit card authorization hold of $1,000 is placed on the member’s card prior to each departure and released upon completion of the post-return inspection.
Fuel: Fuel is not included in membership dues. Each vessel departs with a full tank. After each trip, the vessel is topped off by staff and the member is billed for actual fuel consumed at cost with no markup. Fuel charges are applied to the credit card on file.
Weather Cancellations: Trips cancelled due to weather by Port A Boat Rentals are not counted against rolling reservations, incur no fees, and may be rebooked immediately
Membership Availability: Total membership is capped to protect boat availability for all members. Waitlist may apply.
Fair Use Policy: To ensure equitable access for all members, usage is subject to a fair use guideline of up to 2 outings per week during Peak and Shoulder seasons, and up to 3 outings per week during Off-Peak. Members exceeding these guidelines may be contacted to discuss usage patterns. Port A Boat Rentals reserves the right to adjust booking access if a member's usage consistently impacts availability for other members.
Vessel Assignment: Members are assigned an available vessel at the time of their trip. Specific vessel requests are not guaranteed. All vessels in the fleet are brand-new Barletta Tritoon Pontoons with 200+ HP and equivalent amenities.
Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome on all trips. Members must notify staff at check-in that a dog will be aboard. Dogs must remain on the deck and are not permitted on seats or upholstered surfaces. The member is responsible for any petrelated damage or excessive cleaning required after the trip. If the post-return inspection identifies pet damage or the vessel requires cleaning beyond the standard turnover, applicable charges will be applied to the card on file.
Captained Experiences: Club members may book captained experiences (sunset tours, dolphin tours, etc.) subject to availability. Captained trips count against the member’s rolling reservations. Captain fees are charged separately at published rates.
Medical Freeze: Members may freeze their membership for up to 60 days per calendar year for documented medical reasons. Monthly dues are paused during the freeze period. A freeze request must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation. The commitment period is extended by the length of the freeze. No transfers of membership are permitted.
Termination for Cause: Port A Boat Rentals reserves the right to terminate any membership immediately and without refund for repeated safety violations, vessel damage due to negligence or recklessness, operating while impaired, abuse toward staff, or material violation of the rental agreement. Upon termination for cause, the initiation fee is forfeited and any remaining commitment-period dues are waived.
Veterans & First Responder Discount: Active-duty military, veterans, and first responders receive 10% off the initiation fee on any membership tier. Valid military ID, DD-214, or department-issued credentials required at enrollment.
